About

Physical Display is a print publication featuring a retrospective of photographic works by artists represented by L'Éloi Productions at the This Is Quebec showcase in Tokyo. It includes works by Anouk Lessard, Camille Boyer, Zaravane, Christophe Collette, Greg Barth, Hervé Demers, Kristof Brandl, Les Garçons, LM Chabot, Martin Laporte, Mathieu Fortin, Nik Mirus, Olivier Stenberg, Soleil and William Arcand, compiled for the purpose of finding new meanings and opening up new horizons.

This Is Quebec is a series of showcase events that tours the world's major creative capitals to promote Quebec's digital talent and expertise. In 2019, production studio L’Éloi visited Tokyo to present the work of its artists in video and print. Baillat Studio's mandate was to collect these works and show them in a new light.

Quote

"Is the artist outstanding and progressive? These two requirements allow us to select talents. During the cultural showcase, I was looking at our content through Baillat’s eyes, and I really thought “This is outstanding, this is progressive, we are right on track”.”
